INVITATION

Dear Rectors,

On behalf of the organizers, we are pleased to warmly welcome all participants of the 2nd Forum of Rectors of Poland and Türkiye in Gdańsk, an event of strategic importance for the development of cooperation between Poland and Türkiye in the fields of science and higher education.

The Forum continues the process initiated during the first meeting in Ankara and marks another step towards building lasting and systemic relations between our countries. The programme combines a strategic perspective with practical instruments of cooperation. From identifying common areas of collaboration, joint research projects and doctoral programmes, through academic mobility, to the development of institutional partnerships and joint research centres.

A highlight of the Forum will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in science and higher education by the Ministers of both countries. This represents an important step towards strengthening the framework for cooperation and creating new opportunities for our universities.

The event brings together rectors, vice-rectors and directors representing over most important 40 universities from Türkiye and Poland. We expect more than 120 participants in total, which reflects the significance and high profile of this meeting.

We believe that the Forum will provide a space for inspiring discussions, concrete arrangements, and the initiation of long-term projects in key areas of our academic activity. Please find the programme of the event attached.

We look forward to seeing you in Gdańsk!
