M.E.S.C. – Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion provides advanced education in materials science and electrochemistry. The course consists of 3 semesters of classes plus a fourth semester devoted to research done in one of 16 European laboratories. The M.E.S.C consortium includes:
Université de Paul Sabatier – Toulouse (France)
Université de Picardie – Amiens (France)
Université de Provence – Marseille (France)
Universidad de Córdoba (Spain)
Warsaw University of Technology (Poland).

tuition

Tuition fees for European students are 1000 EUR per year. Students of the university which is a member of the consortium, pay regular fees in their home university.

education requirements

Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their academic performance, evidenced by academic records and letters of evaluation from professional referees. Beside the usual evaluation of the records, applicants must present their goals for the Erasmus Mundus master programme. All courses are taught in English, therefore students whose native language is not English must take the TOEFL/TOEIC examination prior to applying. Minimum level of 550 points is required.

European students joining M.E.S.C. can receive grants to finance the additional mobility costs: Erasmus Mundus grant: 500 EUR monthly allowance, during 24 months + 2000 EUR for the costs of participation in the M.E.S.C. program. Alistore grant: 2000 EUR per semester during 3 semesters. Erasmus grants: 229 EUR per month during 3 semesters (2 semesters of courses and 1 semester for internship). Local grants (consult your home university). The total amount of grants or aids for European students ranges from 6000 EUR to 14000 EUR for 2 years.
