Course Description
Course Profile
The Genetics and Experimental Biology bachelor’s programme provides reliable and in‑depth knowledge of biological processes at the cellular and molecular levels. During lectures and laboratory classes, students find answers to the most pressing questions. The programme introduces students to modern techniques in genetic engineering, histology, cytology and physiology, and shows how to operate specialised equipment. Candidates learn how to use molecular genetics data in biology and biochemistry, as well as in phylogenetic and environmental research. This bachelor’s programme offers a wide range of teaching formats: from onsite laboratory sessions conducted in small groups to online classes using modern distance‑learning technologies.
Who is it for?
This programme is designed for candidates who are curious about the molecular foundations of life and who wish to develop strong analytical and laboratory skills. It is particularly suited to students who want to explore modern experimental biology, molecular genetics and the practical application of scientific methods in real research environments.
Why choose us?
The programme responds directly to the most urgent challenges of the modern world, equipping students with the competences needed to translate advanced genetic knowledge into concrete, sustainable solutions. It addresses key global issues such as biomedical and health challenges, climate change and biodiversity protection, the digitalisation of biological data, food security, and the transfer of knowledge and innovation. The academic staff maintain active research collaborations with international institutions, giving students access to the latest methods and knowledge developed within global research consortia.
