Studies in the field of Nursing prepare students to perform nursing care and teach how to plan, implement, and evaluate preventive and therapeutic procedures. They develop knowledge in research methodology, offering the opportunity to participate in scientific research. Nursing studies build sensitivity and teach professional and life ethical attitudes.
The teaching staff consists of experienced academic teachers: professors, habilitated doctors, doctors, and nurses/midwives.
Programme Overview
The programme prepares students to work with both healthy and ill persons. During proffesional internship, students work with children, adults, the elderly, people with disabilities, and the family environment.
Graduates may work and develop professionally in both public and private healthcare institutions, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing and care facilities, long-term care and treatment centres, social welfare homes, hospices, etc..
Career opportunities are also available in education as an academic teacher, as well as in institutions involved in health promotion and health education counselling. Graduates may also establish and run their own business providing nursing and care services.
KBU holds accreditation to provide education in the field of Nursing, which enables graduates to seek employment within the European Union labour market. The Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is recognised in European Union countries.
