Master’s degree (graduate; Magister)

2 years

ECTS points

MA Transnational Criminology and Cybersecurity is a new and interdisciplinary course that aims to educate future experts in the field – leaders who will be able to apply modern criminological knowledge and influence penal policies at the international level. The course combines classical criminological modules that are looked at from the perspective of contemporary global issues (incl. serious organised crime, human trafficking, drugs policies) as well as additional specialist subjects with regard to cybercrime and cybersecurity. Transnational criminology is a rapidly developing field that explores crime, punishment and criminal justice beyond their national boundaries and discuss them from an international perspective – something that reflects the current research trends in criminology. Cybercrime is currently one of the most difficult challenges facing law enforcement agencies, hence the expertise in cybersecurity has become one of the most searched for by EU institutions. MA Transnational Criminology and Cybersecurity aims at equipping students with the knowledge, social and leadership skills which are essential to influence the dynamics of the issues in question. Our students will gain from the expertise of lecturers and professionals from Poland and abroad. Their diverse knowledge, professional experience, as well as practical approach towards criminological issues, is one of the strengths of the programme.
On completion of this programme, students will be able apply modern criminological knowledge and influence policies, practice of responding to crime in its international dimension.
