For the third time ‘Study in Poland’, Perspektywy Education Foundation’s and Conference of Rectors of Polish Academic Schools (KRASP) initiative, launches INTERSTUDENT 2012- a contest for the best international student in Poland. The three laureates representing Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral level studies will be announced on the 17th of January 2013 at an official Gala during the ‘International Students in Poland 2013’ Conference in Warsaw. Prof. Wiesław Banyś, rector of the University of Silesia and President of KRASP, is the honorary patron of this year’s edition.

There are over 24 thousand international students at Higher Education Institutions in Poland studying at a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral level studies (both in Polish and English). Their activity enriches the local community and builds bridges between cultures. The competition seeks to distinguish the ‘university leaders’, who contribute to the integration of Polish and International students the most. Student’s cultural, social, environmental or sport activity in the student’s community alongside with good academic performance are the requirements for participation.

The deadline for submission of candidates is 29 December 2012. The referees should fill in and send the questionnaire to the following address: This email address is being protected from spambots. The best will be chosen by the jury consisting of the organizers and partners of the competition, including the representatives of KRASP, Student Parliament of the Republic on Poland, National Representation of Doctoral Students, ‘Perspektywy’ Education Foundation and the representatives of the Embassies and the prize sponsors.

The candidates can be submitted by: the Rectors, Vice- rectors, Deans, Vice-Deans, International Students’ Offices, Student Governments and the administration of other student organizations. The names of the candidates can be also submitted by the student’s peers and friends.
