Course Description
Course Profile
The Faculty of New Media Arts is the product of collaboration of PJAIT and the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Students of this unique programme enjoy the benefits of the combination of traditional graphic arts education with studying new technologies.
Besides typography, photography and design for visual communication and advertising, they learn 2D and 3D animation, design for computer games, and interactive applications, as well as the deployment of VR and AR. The projects are done using up-to-date graphic design software, e.g. Adobe and Autodesk.

Education Requirements
Admission is based on the assessment of portfolios and qualifying interviews.
Portfolio
The candidate shall prepare a portfolio in an electronic form, in the .pdf format (one PDF file). The portfolio should include the following types of work:
Drawing - preferred format 100x70 cm
- § human figure from nature – format minimum 50x70 cm, minimum 5 works;
- § still life – minimum 5 works;
- § other forms (the number of works depends on your choice).
Painting
- § landscape – any technique on paper or cardboard (format minimum 50x70 cm; minimum 5 works);
- § still life – any technique on paper or cardboard (format minimum 50x70 cm; minimum 5 works);
- § other forms (the number of works depends on your choice).
Photography
colour or black-and-white – portrait, landscape, composition, report, etc. (minimum 10 prints, A5 format or bigger).
Additionally, we accept photos in the digital version.
Interview
The interview seeks to verify the candidate’s knowledge of:
- § arts
- § design
- § theatre
- § film
- § exhibitions
- § museums
Required documents:
- § a signed application for admission;
- § an original school leaving certificate;
- § a translation (into Polish or English);
- § nostrification and apostille (if necessary);
- § a copy of an official ID;
- § a digital photograph uploaded to the enrolment portal
- § a copy of payment for the qualifying interview (75PLN).
