Course Description

Course Profile

The education program implemented of the future staff of engineers in the field of metallurgy and foundry, with particular emphasis on the ability to use IT tools. Cooperation with the industry allows to improve students' qualifications in production planning, technology and implementation of modern solutions based on the use of computer techniques and process simulations. The study program implemented in the field of Computer Aided Engineering Processes is adapted to the standards of technology and IT faculties. The scope of subjects conducted during studies includes in-depth knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry, technological processes: in the field of metallurgy and foundry, as well as modern production management systems and broadly defined computer science. Thanks to such a solution, a graduate of the field of study is competitive on the labor market, because he has the skills and knowledge expanded compared to a typical computer science graduate with the principles of thermodynamics, laws of fluid mechanics and computer modeling of thermo kinetic processes, numerical methods and calculations used in computer simulations of foundry processes, electrical engineering, mechanics and strength of engineering materials and their applications in machine design and construction, crystallization of metals and their alloys as well as modern techniques and research methods used in metal science, computer solid design (CAD) and computer graphic design. The knowledge he has allows him to creatively solve problems related to technology and management.

Recommendations: The candidate should have the knowledge, skills and competences described in the field of learning outcomes for the first degree. The candidate should have the knowledge, in particular in the area of mathematics, physics, chemistry and to know the basics of metallurgy, foundry, metal science (basic).

Education Requirements

BSc in a cognate discipline or equivalent document, appropriate knowledge of English
