Course Description
Course Profile
ISAD aims at fostering creative thinking about complex problems of global security and development, as well as to equip students with analytical tools, language expertise, and cross-cultural understanding. It also helps gain professional skills needed for managing global security and development in an international environment. The programme provides not only theoretical, but also practical knowledge, as Polish and international academic staff and practitioners are part of ISAD's team. The courses and modules we outline are divided into two major categories: mandatory modules prevailing in the first two semesters will give students a solid foundation in security and development studies. Academic tracks courses taught in the third and fourth semesters will provide more focused knowledge and competence in student's chosen area. Apart from these, there are a number of optional courses offered every year, as well as a language course in one of the following languages: German, French,Polish, Spanish and Russian.
Education Requirements
To be admitted to the programme candidates need to be holders of a higher education diploma (at least undergraduate) in any field.
Other Requirements
It is formally required that a candidate to this programme successfully passes the interview verifying their level of competency in the English language. The interview is passed successfully upon earning at least 60% of total points. Holders of documents confirming competency in the English language at least at B2 level are awarded 100% of total points and are not required to take the interview.
