Course Description

Course Profile

Forests have always played a very important role in the development of human civilisation. Today, multifunctional and sustainable forestry is perceived not only as a source of renewable materials like e.g. wood, but also as a way to mitigate climate change and bring people back to nature.

The  Programme is designed for people who see their future career in forestry, forest industry, environmental management and in nature protection areas. MSc in Forestry offers a wide coverage of the latest issues in European forestry and combines natural, technical and economic knowledge by teaching how to manage one of the most complicated and fascinating terrestrial ecosystems to preserve natural biodiversity and provide wood to satisfy the needs of society. Today, forestry is  a modern branch of science and uses the latest developments in genetics, geomatics and communications and information technology.

We will help you explore different fields of forest activities, taking account of your interests. Practising forestry can be your way of life. You can change the world to make it greener, more sustainable and more human friendly.
