Course Description

Course Profile

This graduate program is addressed to graduates with BSc in Engineering, primarily for alumni of BSc  in Environmental Engineering program or similar (civil, mechanical, chemical engineering etc. after complementing curriculum disparities, which should be not higher than 30 ECTS credits). The students are provided with in-depth knowledge of mathematics, environmental physics and chemistry. They familiarize with techniques of environmental data analysis and mathematical modelling and develop practical skills in designing and governing environment protection activities. Broad knowledge and the system approach skills are acquired, including environmental law and economy, impact analysis, risk analysis and decision making, mathematical modelling, environment quality assessment and management, etc.

The program aims at research and engineering activities concerning the sustainable development and preventing negative impacts of human activity on the environment. Graduates will be able to develop their individual professional practices, carry out environmental impact assessment, design and execute or supervise environment protection measures in companies and provide expertise to local and regional authorities for decision making.

MSc program in Environmental Engineering offers 2 specializations:

  • water supply and sewage systems, which aims at preparing graduates for solving technical, technological and operational problems, undertaking scientific and research activities in the field of water management, sewage and waste disposal system, as well as planning, designing and governing water resources in natural environment;
  • heating and ventilation systems, which aims at providing graduates with knowledge and skills required to solve technical, technological, organizational and scientific problems related with heating, ventilation and air condition systems, inner climate protection in buildings and ambient air protection technologies.
