Course Profile

What can you gain by studying International Tourism at WSB University?

 

·         You can take advantage of the preparatory classes for the LCCI EFT exam dedicated to tourism.

·         You can complete additional courses, including training in the field of information systems in the hotel industry; tour guiding and leisure animation; recreation tutoring, and many others.

·         You will train in the classrooms equipped with modern software dedicated to the tourism and catering industry.

·         You can develop your interests and become a member of Aloha Student Research Club at Tourism and Recreation Department.

·         You will take part in summer and winter sports camps, job placements, internships, and study visits. Over 50% of classes are practical in their core.

·         You can study at the University that according to Tourism News periodical (4/2017) among the best non-public schools with the first cycle of education at the tourist faculties among universities with practical education profile, educating in Tourism.

·         One of the Faculty’s partners is Kuyavian-Pomeranian Tourism Organization.

·         You can take internships in prestigious hotels, restaurants, and catering and tourism enterprises in Poland as well as abroad (in Spain or Greece). As a part of the Erasmus Program, you have the opportunity to study at one of 39 foreign universities.

·         cooperating with centres for international outsourcing services;

·         working with international organizations and institutions;

·         running your own transnational business.

Education Requirements

You can enroll in a first degree (e.g. Bachelor’s or Engineer’s) program if you have successfully completed your secondary education and have a secondary school-leaving certificate.

Other Requirements

The documents that the candidate provides:

1. A photo taken following the requirements for the passport photo.

2. A photocopy of the secondary school-graduation certificate (for the candidates from the East, an atestat or a diploma of a junior specialist).

3. A secondary school graduation diploma or a junior specialist diploma requires an apostille or credentials from a consulate or an embassy, ​​the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education in your country.

4. An apostille or other certification (legalization) is not required from the candidates from the EU, the EEA, the OECD, EFTA, ETA, and the countries that have signed the Hague Convention, with the exception of candidates from Ukraine.

5. A translation of the high-school diploma into Polish or English.

The candidates may inquire the pertinent WSB about the necessity of the translation before they can translate the certificate.

(WSB University in Szczecin does not accept graduation certificates in Russian or Ukrainian; other Universities will allow such documents in their original form).

A sworn translation is not required.

6. Confirmation of the English language skills for studies in English.

If the candidate for the studies has a language certificate confirming the knowledge of English at B2 level, they will be asked to deliver it.

The level of English proficiency will be confirmed during a conversation via Skype.

7. The confirmation of knowledge of Polish for studies in Polish is not required.
