Course Description

Course Profile

The education at Petroleum Engineering specialization includes topics from oil and gas engineering as well as drilling engineering. It includes subjects in the area of: petroleum geology and geophysics, crude oil production and refining, petroleum production systems, improved oil recovery, well stimulation methods, reservoir simulation and optimization, petroleum chemistry and refining, petroleum products analysis and environmental protection. Students also gain knowledge in the field of economics of energy production and social impact of the petroleum industry. The scientific content provided to students at Petroleum Engineering is updated to the current level of knowledge in this field and currently used technologies in this sector. Our students have access to the most modern world software in drilling, exploitation, and geophysical research (eg Schlumberger or Landmark), software for oil and gas exploitation simulations (eg. Eclipse). The use of these programs is included in the content of selected modules implemented as laboratory or project exercise classes. Lectures and presentations on state-of-the-art technological solutions with experts and specialists from leading oil and gas industry companies are organized in order to supplement the study program content provided during the classes.

The Petroleum Engineering specialization, conducted in English, helps to acquire and develop language competences at the B2 + level.

  • scan of a higher education diploma with legalization (or an apostille), entitling to apply for admission to second-cycle degree programmes at universities of any type in the country in which the document was issued
  • scan of a supplement with grades or another official document covering subjects passed by the candidate in the studies completed so far, including lectures, auditorium classes, laboratory classes, seminars, projects etc. together with a scale of grades confirmed by the university that the candidate graduated from or an authorised institution
  • scan of a passport page with a photo and personal data
  • scan of a photo in an official outfit on a light background
