Course Profile

The Medical University of Łódź offers a comprehensive 5-year Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program designed for international students seeking high-quality education in English. 

MUL offers a modern simulation and clinical training base, enabling students to acquire the most valuable practical skills during their studies. From the very first year, they begin hands-on practice at simulation workstations. Starting in the third year, students have the opportunity to perform most procedures and interventions under the supervision of highly specialized medical staff, thanks to access to the patient base of the University’s clinical units. The University fosters attitudes characterized by professionalism and an awareness of the moral and ethical responsibility inseparably linked to providing care for patients.

The 5DMD program is a unified master’s degree that lasts 5 years (10 semesters). The curriculum includes preclinical subjects taught mainly in the first two years, and clinical subjects taught in the last three years. The curriculum also includes IT and biostatistical preparation, social and humanities subjects such as medical ethics, history of medicine, sociology, as well as physical education. Particular emphasis is put on developing the proper professional attitudes of graduates, their communication skills with patients, and understanding the psychosocial factors affecting health.
