If you decide to study at Bialystok University of Technology, you can choose from among future-oriented courses. Our study plans are consulted with the biggest employers in the region, and our students complete their internships and work placements in our partner firms as early as during studies. A great majority of our graduates find jobs within the first year after graduation. We also offer attractive postgraduate studies. Bialystok University of Technology has rights to award PhD degrees of technical sciences in 8 disciplines, and DSc degrees of technical sciences in 5 disciplines.

Studying abroad with the Erasmus Programme

Bialystok University of Technology cooperates with many academic centres all over the world. We have over 500 active bilateral agreements in scientific and educational cooperation with foreign partners.
Under the Erasmus+ Programme you can study for 1 semester or 2 semesters at one of our partner universities, get to know other cultures and languages, and meet new friends. Every year, nearly 500 students take this opportunity. Universities in Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Denmark are very popular among our students and staff, while our university is mostly visited for a semester or two by guests from Portugal, Spain, and Turkey. International guest students can also apply as so-called free-movers, which means they can study for 1 or maximum 2 semesters without taking part in an exchange programme.

One diploma is not enough

A double diploma of Bialystok University of Technology and a foreign university? It is possible! We conduct 20 double degree programmes together with universities from China, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine and Russia. We are especially proud of cooperation with our Chinese partners with whom we organise joint summer schools for students of Logistics.

Positive energy

We have continuously been developing our scientific and teaching infrastructure. We invest in energy from the nature and educate specialists in renewable energy. In our campus you can see wind turbines, solar cells, and heat pumps – all used to power our laboratories and students’ hostels. In our INNO-EKO-TECH centre students of Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, and Ecological Power Engineering learn about such future-oriented sectors of the economy as renewable energy resources (RES), energy-efficient construction, and environmental protection.
The last years were an unprecedented investment period for Bialystok University of Technology. The University gained four new facilities: the Centre for Modern Education, the Research and Education Centre of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the INNO-EKO-TECH Innovative Research and Education Centre for Alternative Energy Sources, Energy-efficient Construction and Environmental Protection.
We have created appropriate conditions for making the best use of the knowledge, intellectual potential, ideas and energy of young people, students, graduates and also scientific staff.
Owing to the enhanced laboratory and research infrastructure, our students and employees have access to the latest knowledge in different areas of technology.
Our new investments provide better conditions for cooperation with the business sector and increase activities that are classified as R&D.

University campus at the heart of the town

Our campus is a lively academic town hosting concerts during the Juwenalia Student Festival, and housing the GWINT Club popularising student culture and art, and also the 87.7 FM Akadera Radio Station – the best rock wave in the town. The BUT student hostels, located almost in the town centre (500 m from the Zwierzyniecki Park), offer nearly 1400 places. The bus stops and public bicycle stations near the student hostels enable our students to reach any destination in Bialystok or its neighbourhood with no problem.
