Course Description
Course Profile
The study program combines issues of mobility (sustainable transport, management and organization of transport systems) with the development of IT tools supporting intelligent transport systems and smart cities.
Students will acquire knowledge and skills in:
a) data engineering (analysis and modeling of transport data, application of AI algorithms for mobility forecasting),
b) intelligent transport systems (design and implementation of systems supporting traffic and mobility management in urban areas),
c) cybersecurity and data protection (managing the security of data exchange in transport networks),
d) sustainable mobility (assessing the environmental impact of new technologies and implementing low-emission transport strategies),
e) programming and system integration (developing applications supporting public transport, car-sharing, Mobility as a Service, and logistics).
The program addresses the growing demand for highly qualified professionals in the field of smart mobility. Modern cities and transport systems face challenges related to urbanization, climate change, and the need to implement sustainable mobility solutions. In response to these challenges, there is a rising need for specialists with interdisciplinary competencies combining computer science, data analysis, and transport engineering.
The IT for Smart and Sustainable Mobility program prepares graduates to work in rapidly developing areas such as intelligent transport systems, digital mobility, data management, and IT security in transport. The program integrates IT competencies with knowledge of sustainable transport, enabling graduates to work in key sectors of the economy and influence the future of urban mobility.
The program is launched in cooperation within the EUNICE European University consortium. Classes are conducted by academic staff from three universities: Poznan University of Technology (Poland), Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (France), and Universidad de Cantabria (Spain).
Education Requirements
A relevant educational background (confirmed by a diploma of completion of first-cycle or long-cycle studies) in Computer Science, Natural Sciences (Mathematics/Physics), Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Telecommunications, or other fields, particularly Transport-related programs.
Knowledge of programming and software development.
A certificate confirming English language proficiency at B2 level.
