Course Profile
What do we teach?
Informatics at the MSc level at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science is a field of study that will allow you to expand your existing knowledge of computer science and programming and take on more ambitious tasks in your future professional career. This field of study covers programming in the latest computer programming languages in line with the expectations of the labor market, creating mobile applications according to the latest technological trends, designing and programming analytical and industrial IT systems, developing and practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) models, creation of advanced network, Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber-physical solutions, designing of IT systems operating in the cloud, data analysis and data engineering using Big Data tools, and finally, exploring the secrets of interactive three-dimensional graphics and the gaming industry.
Why is it worth it?
As is commonly known, the industrial market needs many IT specialists. However, to get a really interesting and well-paid job, it is not enough to know how to program, you need to know how to ensure software quality. It is not enough to be able to read and load data, you must know how to analyze it, for example using machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). It is not enough to know how the operating system works or how graphics are rendered – you need to understand the processes taking place and the ability to design new ones. During your MSc degree in Informatics, you will have the opportunity to use the skills of specialists to deepen your knowledge of the issues that interest you. In addition, you create your own educational and future career path.
