Course Description

Course Profile

Students choose from two basic elective streams: English Studies  with Translation (level C2 in Polish required) or English Studies with TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language – level B2 in Polish required).

 

The courses are organized into three modules:

Module 1: Basics – Compulsory courses in literature, culture and linguistics as well as practical English.

Module 2: Application – Professional training in translation (Polish > English, English > Polish), or professional training in teaching.

Module 3: Academic development – Students choose their diploma seminar, and a range of related elective courses in linguistics, literature or culture.

Education Requirements

The following documents are required (among others):

(1) a high school diploma,

(2) a high school transcript of records showing passed subjects and obtained grades,

(3) English as a grade in transcript of records (unless secondary education was taught in English),

(4) proficient command of the Polish language (B2 level) is also necessary.
