Fees

3500 EUR (students with Polish citizenship and EU candidates) payable in three instalments:

1)   1250 EUR payable 7 days after the enrolment;

2)   1250 EUR payable before February 15, 2025;

3)   1000 EUR payable before October 15, 2025. 

7000 EUR (other candidates):

1)    2500 EUR payable 7 days after the enrolment;

2)    2500 EUR payable before February 15, 2025;

3)    2000 EUR payable before October 15, 2025. 

Scholarships

Programme is supported by WIPO scholarship awarded to candidates meeting all three requirements:

- being government officials and others working in the public sector such as universities, academies and research and development institutions;

- originating from developing countries, least developed countries (LDCs) or countries in transition;

- apply by July 21, 2024 using the JU Online Application System (irk.uj.edu.pl) and WIPO Online Application system.

Course Description

Course Profile

Unique Joint Master’s Degree Programme in Intellectual Property and New Technologies jointly organized by: the Jagiellonian University of Krakow, the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.

The Programme offers an extensive learning scheme for the currently emerging interfaces between intellectual property law and new technologies, as well as other legal issues related to new technologies. Particular courses will adopt comparative approach towards IP regulations, with EU law serving as the prevailing legal regime for Europe.  By taking this approach the Program attracts undergraduate and graduate students as well as well professionals from the public and private sectors who wish to acquire the highly profiled skills in the field.

The programme takes advantage of new technologies. Its first, non-residential semester is realised on-line, through a state-of-the-art e-learning platform. The second semester, which takes place in Kraków, combine traditional lectures and seminars with e-learning, while the third semetser may be realized in both online and offline forms.
