Course Description
Course Profile
The B.Sc. program in Biomedical Engineering equips graduates with an engineering perspective on the human body and its related phenomena. By utilizing advanced devices that are now commonplace in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, biomedical engineers help save and improve lives. However, the design and production of these devices require specialized knowledge, making biomedical engineering one of the leading research fields in Europe and the United States.
This elite engineering program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of medical apparatus, rehabilitation, and orthopedic equipment. Students will learn to design and manufacture modern medical devices and rehabilitation equipment, and apply cutting-edge technologies in medicine, biomedical engineering, and related fields.
The program also prepares students to effectively collaborate with doctors, rehabilitation specialists, and other medical professionals to integrate advanced technical solutions into the medical field. Graduates will be trained to design prostheses, implants, and medical devices that improve patient care.
The biomedical engineering curriculum is interdisciplinary, covering the fundamentals of mechanics, materials engineering, manufacturing techniques, human anatomy and physiology, engineering biomechanics, programming, medical electronics, mechatronics, basic imaging techniques, and the latest technologies, such as 3D printing, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence, applied to medicine and rehabilitation.
