Course Description
Course Profile
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is focused on the development and application of computational technologies inspired by the way humans learn, reason, and make decisions. Since its inception over sixty years ago, the field of AI has experienced various trends, with an unpredictable rate of progress. Today, AI technologies influence many domains such as transportation, entertainment, robotics, education, security, and healthcare, primarily due to the growing amount of data and the success of the data-driven paradigm, which has supplanted traditional AI approaches.
Poznan University of Technology offers an M.Sc. program in Artificial Intelligence, taught entirely in English. The three-semester program begins in February and is a natural continuation of the B.Sc. program in Artificial Intelligence offered at the university. It is designed for graduates of B.Sc. programs in AI-related fields. This program was created in response to the growing demand for highly specialized AI experts in both Polish and international markets.
The curriculum aims to provide graduates with in-depth knowledge of the latest advances in AI, preparing them to create intelligent systems and solve complex problems in AI, contribute to innovative business activities, work in research and development (R&D), or pursue doctoral studies. Classes are taught in English by world-recognized scientists whose research in AI has been awarded prestigious prizes by international societies, journals, and conferences.
Graduates will acquire comprehensive knowledge in AI, machine learning, and data analysis, including areas such as machine perception, program synthesis, multidimensional statistics, intelligent optimization, machine learning theory, process mining, multicriteria optimization, natural language processing, learning process automation, machine learning tools, dimensionality reduction, knowledge extraction, machine learning graphs, information theory methods, programming constraints, and quantum machine learning. The program also covers numerous applications of AI methods, including those in e-commerce, games, mobile applications, biomedical informatics, and cryptography.
Other Requirements
An entrance test will be required for admission to the M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence.
