Course Profile
What do we teach?
The field of study Cognitive Technologies is a combination of traditional cognitive science with cognitive technologies. These studies are a response to the needs of a dynamically developing market that requires an increasing number of specialists who will be able to use modern technologies in their work, especially in the area of modern business services. The Business Service Sector (BSS) has been developing very dynamically in Poland for several years. This sector includes the activities of business process outsourcing centers (BPO), shared service centers (SSC), IT centers (Information Technology, IT) and research and development centers (R&D).
Why is it worth it?
The global market for smart solutions is growing rapidly. It is estimated that in the coming years the value of this market will continue to grow, and global producers of business software declare the development of the use of cognitive technologies in their products. The field of study is a response to development trends related to the development of Industry 4.0 and modern Smart City technologies. There is a high demand for specialists to handle these areas. Completion of this type of studies increases competitiveness on the Polish and foreign labor market. After graduation, the graduate obtains the title Master Engineer.

By studying Cognitive Technologies you will gain skills and competences in the field of:
• cognitive theories related to social and economic development in the national and global context based on innovative methods and IT techniques for diagnosing and solving unusual social and organizational problems;
• analysis of cognitive processes in the assessment of behavior in economic organizations and public institutions;
• information and communication technologies and phenomena occurring in digital marketing;
• the theory of communication and management in Industry 4.0 and Smart City;
• artificial intelligence systems, algorithms, machine learning and in solving tasks related to data acquisition, processing and presentation.
